If you are the one for our client you have a passion for live shows! The Global Organization of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO) is in its 9th year of organising the India Day Fair in Roma Parklands, Brisbane. For which we are looking for an experienced stage manager/sound technician to manage the event on 17th August 2019. You will set-up and operate sound equipment on the day of the event, recordings to ensure the best acoustic results. We expect you to be knowledgeable about different audio recording and editing techniques. You should also possess a creative mind and a good ear.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Audio mixing of the event using a variety of audio equipment and control systems
• Operate lighting control system and make live announcements when necessary
• Troubleshooting sound and lighting issues and find solutions along with other crew members
• Maintain cleanliness and good working of the show’s audio equipment and other related equipment
• Reset audio equipment after every performance
• Complete pre-show inspections before the next performance to ensure all equipment is in appropriate working order

You will have:
• Proven experience and knowledge as a sound technician
• Good knowledge about audio skills and aural skills
• Expertise in sound engineering techniques like equalization
• Excellent organisation skills
• Creativity and attention to detail
• Patient and calm presence
• Outstanding communication skills
• First aid desirable but not necessary

12:00 pm – 2:00 pm
2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
4:00 pm – 6:00 pm
6:00pm – 8:00pm
8:00pm – 10:00pm
